Hello, have been on here a while but never really posted and have since lost the thread I started so I'm starting a new one. This is my second B now and I'm really enjoying it at the moment, its a 1.0 Merit which I got for £400 with around 70k on the clocks. Got it last October and have done various things to it and plan to do a lot more.
Started off looking like this when I first picked it up:
Did a couple of cheap things such as added a badgeless grille and a Punto wiper:
Then I bought this and got it fitted:
Which left it sat like this:
I then purchased this:
And got it fitted:
Wheels were letting it down badly so got hold of some Tigra wheels cheap and put them on:
I got myself a Tigra scuttle around the same time along with some Richbrook pins and an MFD - the interior was so basic!:
The flat wipers were also added.
Got some nice tailored mats and then I started stripping it to make way for a full Sport interior:
This is how it was stood for a while before much else happened:
I then fitted some blue LEDs and some Vectra handles and have also added some Tigra clocks to get the interior from this:
To this:
Glovebox and underseat tray have also been put in.
I then fitted German lights, silver wing mirrors, wind deflectors and smoked side repeaters to leave it like this:
Got a GSi spoiler put on too:
I then removed the Punto wiper and put some HIDs in:
Changed the gear knob to this:
And a set of Toyos on it and this is how it stands currently:
Current spec:
Done

- new tax disc holder
- fitted mfd

It is only a 1.0 mate, looking at putting a 1.6 in it later in the year.
Appreciate the honesty regarding the wheels, will have to have a think as I'm not 100% what I'm going to do yet to be honest.

Lol, I'm actually seriously considering that as the grey carpet lets the interior down badly!

Appreciate the nice comments Not sure about colour coding yet to be honest, I keep changing my mind between keeping these and getting some silver post 97 ones. I like it with ther spoiler Really wanna go lower too, maybe 80 at the back.

Got a few pics today when I went to uni:
Please excuse the starte of the car, just no point cleaning it in this weather but it will be done for PVS!
Hopefully sorting some Depo's this week too. What are people's opinions on gloss black wheels?

I wouldn't gloss black the wheels with your black bumpers. I like your alloys the colour they are anyway, a sort of darker silver.
It generally looks nice as always, and you know I'm a fan.
Carpet dye in my opinion would be your best solution. Its something I have on my list of interior mods, when I get round to swapping the seats over.

Thanks mate, am trying my best to keep it subtle and simple. Yeah the only colours I can think of that would go with my car are black, white and gunmetal, corsascotty's looks good on white I must admit.

Thanks David, your comments are welcome as always I just really want to do something with my wheels but just can't decide what, lol. And yeah I really need to sort the grey carpet out!

Really pathetic update... more to prove that I'm actually doing something with the car, lol
Started on my door handle surrounds today:
Only gone over them with 600 grit just to key the surface as not bothered about them being smooth.
I have some Rover Gun Metal paint and some Silver paint so I need opinions on what colour to do them please guys. These are the only interior bits I will be spraying.
Will also be buying a clay kit tomorrow and some other goodies to get my car ready for the summer sun!

Started spraying my door handle surrounds today, well primer stage anyway. Will get pics tomorrow when I've sprayed them in paint. Gotta get to a scrappy tomorrow too for a bootlock surround to spray and I've just bought a Meguiar's clay bar kit to get my car looking spanking!
