My Corsa was taken away to be scrapped in June last year; I got a receipt but not Vehicle Destruction Certificate from the Licensed ELV Dismantlers. They're a professional outfit not a dodgy back street breakers.
They said they could sort all the paperwork out given that I'd misplaced my V5.
Anyhow; I've just had to SORN the car as it hasn't been registered as scrapped. Had a brief look at the DVLA website and it says I need this Vehicle Destruction Certificate to register it as scrapped.
I don't have this OR a V5? What's the course of action??

I've done them without destruction certs, just written a letter saying it's done, send it to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BA.
That was as recently as October.

I've been sorning my Cavalier for the last 2 years even though it's been crushed.
My mate runs a scrapyard so he's going to register it as scrapped for me so I get a certificate.
