Well, as some of you may know I had a rather large aussie sedan. It went pretty hard but also liked a drink - 8 years old, 250bhp in a FWD 3.5 V6 and weighing 1500kg was taking its toll all over the shop. 100,000 miles now meant front suspension was in dire need of major work and in general it needed some $$$ spent on her to keep her going. some piccies - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=575789

SO, bit of a digression but tomorrow I am picking up a 2011 RenaultSport Clio 200 Cup Trophee in black. Its not a common car here in Australia which is kind of why I went for it. I love the look and since taking it for a test drive I was sold.

Better pics tomorrow or weekend once I get my hands on it haha

Even the Focus XR5 (Focus ST for you) is around $36k drive away and thats the run-out price. I bet the Focus ST isn't 25k GBP?!!?

Get this:
Mini Cooper S Chilli - $42k
Mazda 3 MPS Luxury - $45k!!!
Lancer Evo X - $70k

Not much. Thats just the way of imported cars in Australia. I could have bought a Commodore SV6 or Falcon XR6 Turbo roughly for the same as the Clio, which would be slower in the bends, thirstier, and no way near as fun.

Wouldnt it be cheaper buying a car over here first (thats if you still have relatives over here) then getting it shipped over to oz or would it work out the same???
