i took part in a endurance race this weekend at Keilder Forest. was a really good weekend, was very hard work but was worth it.

saturday was qualifying day - there was 4 groups of 20 set off at different start times and this first 10 from each group would be in the A finals and the remaining 10 would be in the B finals on the sunday. i managed to finish 6th in the qualifying which meant id be racing in the A finals on the sunday. The race day came and i managed 27th out of 40 riders which im really pleased with as its the first time ive ever done a endurance race.

heres a vid of my qualifying run (i had to cut some of it out some of it due too 10min length limit)

that looks rad. When you said endurance I thought you meant some XC stuff. Looks mint.

yer its just like a mini mega - it took just over an hour to push too the top and it took me about 14min 30sec to get down. someone clocked up doing about 40mph down the top section at the beginning.

the top section was insane the hardest bit was deciding which one of my bikes too use, my 222 would have been ideal for the top section but would have been a pain on the single track stuff, so im pleased i used my Blur LT managed spot on its a really good alround bike.

Is that a proper track at Kielder, or did they make it for the event?

Looks awsome, cracking biking around there.
