im watching a projection tv on egay and was wondering what peoples opinions are on these unit?
its 50" LCD Samsung projection unit

rear projection? if so theyr not that bad, we used to have a 42", picture is not as good as the plasma we have now but was ok, they can burn the screens over time aswell like ours did.

plasmas can also develop screen burn over time, rear projections are prone to the bulb going in the back which cost circa £100 last time i looked, imo the best rear projection 50" tv is the sony bravia

Rarely happens now, plenty of features/functions (pixel shift etc) manfucatures include to prevent screen-burn on plasmas.

image retention still happens alot suprisingly, albeit they have whitewash and pixel orbiting properties but still happens alot, not as much on modern pdp's but still quite common
