Think the original is glued on iirc

I found it easier just hacksawing it off. Was better shorter anyway.

I pulled the centre cap off mine the hacksaw'd down the middle of it and pulled it off it bits

Mine came off somewhere between third and fourth then slipped out of my hand and landed in the back somewhere. Made my own custom knob after that and threaded both the stick and knob

Twist and pull. Some people heat theirs up but I didn't need to.
