I had a kinda similar problem with my Plusnet broadband router - ended up getting a firmware update for the router and all sorted.
Maybe try searching the model number of your router and see if theres any updates available?

Get on cableforums.co.uk and post on there with a list of your modems stats (can get it by going to http://192.168.1.100). I get it ever so often where the cable modem (new Cisco jobby) dies and starts throwing out a local IP, 192.*, but all it requires is an IP release/renew from the router and it's back in business.
Worse case, drop the modem down the stairs and get a tech out to replace it.

My wireless keeps going off in the evening, thought it was something knocking it off but even with just the router turned on it drops off.
Works if you disconnect and connect again, but only lasts a few minutes at most.
Let me know if you fix this cos it's a pain in the arse sticking an ethernet cable in

Mine keeps dying after a while. After a reboot of the laptop it's fine again.
Is that what yours does?

I'm not sure whether you mean you can't connect to the router or the router drops the internet connection.
I had a problem with my VM cable connection. You could go on some sites for a few minutes then it come up with DNS errors and saying it can't get a page. Re-booting it sorted it for a few mins then the same.
I fixed it by going into the router settings and turning off the router firewall. Now I have no problems at all.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Router appears fine, it's assigning DHCP leases to all the clients, pings back, admin panel is available.
Also when the connection dies it affects all the computers in the house equally. Looks like me like it's upstream.

This is fucking wank.
I had my own wirless box (which cost 60 quid), running a 20mb modem. Worked fine, all day long.
Now got once of these combined things and its shite. Suppose to be 30mb yet its slower and constantly disconnects.
