When tightening the bolt, does the strut need to be pushed in or pulled out to get the camber as close to standard??

On my astra I pulled the shock out, then took it to get tracking done but they said I was running a bit of positive camber so went back home, adjusted them a bit and went back, both sides weren't exactly the same but within tolerance, done by eye so obviously its not going to be perfect

I would set them in the middle for now and then find a garage that have either 'john bean' or 'Hunter' tracking equipment, these types can be used to set your car's toe alignment, camber and caster, We have it at ProTyre where i work and we make adjustments on the car on the ramp @ £31 per adjustment as a guide price for you.

Just had my tracking done at £28. He didnt do camber so i had to adjust that myself. He did it roughly the first tiem around then told me to go do my camber abit better as he cant i did that then went back.
Coilovers are set fully out on the hole and theres still negative camber, camber bolts required me thinks.
To be fair the lad said the second time around after i corrected the camber abit he wont do it again as its still out (about 1.5 degrees i would say) but if i get it sorted he will adjust it again for free

pretty good amount of camber i'd say for handling, should wear tyres out or anything as long as your tracking is right. Someone mentioned on another thread he had his set up at 1.5 degrees
