Hello and welcome to the Match Day Meet Banter Thread. The Scottish Match Day Meet number 2 is almost upon us and this is shaping up to be a cracking weekend of Scottish Rivalry, it certainly has all the ingredients needed to be a spicy affair. Alongside me is Chris Kamara to help break down this epic event...

Chris, Cowdenbeath, The Blue Brazil, taking on old rivals Dunfermline Athletic. Does it get any bigger than this?

Well, yes it does tbh Jeff, but this is without a doubt the biggest match to be happening in Fife on April 2nd and i cannot wait to see the two teams in action. Cowdenbeath are desperate for the 3 points to stave off relegation whilst Dunfermline need them to continue their promotion push. Its going to be a feisty affair.

This is also the scene of the 2nd Scottish Match Day Meet and we have some new comers to the event, what do you make of them?

Well Jeff, we have some interesting characters joining to team this year and im going to start with Paul McDaid. Now, this boy has been part of the Match Day crew for some time but is only just making his debut onto the meet scene, a very late developer in the game. However, he is highly rated amongst many of his peers and has a huge appetite for the game and also his uncanny likeness to Kevin Bridges which may be useful for attracting young, vulnerable ladies to the group later on in the night for Nath and JJ to take advantage of.
Another newcomer is the very controversial and highly mysterious John. Not much is known about this addition to the team, a very rare poster in Match Day. Time will tell how he blends into the side but he has been touted as a possible replacement for EX Match Day meet Captain, Craig 'Cosmo' Stables, who is currently struggling with a persistent thumb injury.

Ahhh yes, Craig, what a waste. Chris, there is also rumours going round that there could be some loan signings on the horizons as the team look to add to their strength in depth?

Yes Jeff, very strong rumours that they could be looking to bolster the team with the experienced Liverpudlian, Ian Griffiths and also the first ever female additions to the squad, Shelley Muldoon and Laura D. With the Match Day team always looking to do something different these signings could just provide the little bit extra they have been looking for.

Very good, Chris. Now, we've discussed to new additions but what of the old stalwarts of the team, Nathan Odell, Jonny James and Eck Mcmann? Can we expect the same level of performance from these?

Well definitely from Eck, I very much expect another phone box incident...but yes, without a doubt, Jeff. These guys have been there and done it all before and provide a great spine to the team. Nath and Jonny bring their lower league experience, they dont mind getting stuck in and the well traveled two will be providing another strong performance im sure. And then of course you have Eck, after a strong debut last time around he will be looking to continue his form, the one worry is his disciplinary record, will he be able to keep his head again. Im sure he will.

Well thank you very much Chris, this promises to be a tantilising tie. We look forward to seeing you on April 2nd, Good night.
