I read this the other day, king Kenny spouting on about he isn't fit enough etc, yet he had just completed a full game in Europe?
Keep him he is overrated & unproven anyway.

it's because whenever there are international games, a world class player usually gets injured and then fifa take no blame for it whatsoever.
yes it's a fact of life that football players will get injured, but it always happens on international duty and then the club get fucked over by it.
this is why i'm glad west ham aren't doing too well. if we lost parker/noble/upson/green we'd be buggered.

Probably a stroke of luck none of them are good enough to play for England

Might be good enough for England, but they certainly are not good enough for the Premier League.

Tottenham always suffer like this,
Redknapp is a patriotic man so he always allows the international players to play, this season Dawson + Defoe have had long spells out due to injuries suffered playing in shitty England games.

Playing for your country is a privellage, your ultimate dream and should be everything you strive for if you are a footballer, something you should be willing to pay to do, not something you do because you want to be paid for it, and certainly not something you dont do because you arent being paid.
lets face it, the biggest club event pales in comparison to the biggest world football event, and players should not be be restricted from playing in the biggest events in the world on the biggest stages.

England don't have a squad capable of winning anything. I don't care what our carbonated friend says.
With that in mind, the Champions League is the pinnacle for English players.

yes maybe to you, but you cannot argue that to the rest of the world that its bigger then the world cup, and it shouldnt be either, because we have this attitude, thats why its bigger for you.
If there was less red tape in world footballing eg the FA, managers and players were allowed to manage how they wanted maybe we would have a decent national side, and one that would command you support over your club

I cant support Terry, Cole, Gerrard etc. they are Chelsea and Liverpool players at the end of the day therefore I don't like them.

Club always comes before country and thats extends from players to fans. York mean more to me than England ever will. You'd know that if you were a proper fan Steve.
