Would say if u do decide to drill make sure it's the bottom u drill so no foreign object get sucked in

take the lid off and take the filter out it makes it sound like a supercar

Don't do this!
As for drilling the airbox, it be a good idea and while ya at it, derestrict it too and remove the cold air feed and it'll sound the nuts.

i was joking...
ive drilled mine but when i swapped engines i had to tape over some of the holes as the induction noise was too loud
make sure you take the plastic tube out of the inside of the lid aswell

Did it on my 1.0L and yes, it made a very slight difference, more of a difference to the sound though, makes it sound like its not a 1.0L

i did it to my 1.2 8v and it made a big difference and sounded much better, i remember taking the car for a spin that night thinking it was the best thing on the road haha

I know dis, had an old one lying around so thought I'd try it but it sounded crap.

i de-restricted it today and drilled the airbox but tbh not much difference in the sound so think i need bigger holes. how big were the holes u guys drilled if uve done this?

The bigger the holes, the deeper the sound.
I had holes about the size of a 10p coin in mine and had about 6/7 holes.
