Hi, does any body know how to save an image off the internet as a background to there computer...some reason it wont let me. Even when saved to the computer...tried programs such as saving it to paint and going from there still no joy...is there a firewall or something I need to disable?
Thanks

Don't think it's firewall related, timmy.

Right click save as this somewhere http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/wallpaper_enable.reg
Then right click on the downloaded file and click merge, then try setting your wallpaper again.

If it's Windows 7 starter edition you won't be able to set your own wallpaper

I always giggle at that. What muppet thought they'd exclude one of the most basic desktop functions from an OS. Hardly gonna make you change your mind and upgrade on the account of you can't have a custom background. Especially if there would be 3rd party software that will allow you to do it somehow.
