Thought i'd introduce my new car that replaced my Corsa GSi XE, was sad to see the Corsa go but fancied a change from Vauxhalls and I know most makes of cars are appreciated on here.

My old Corsa.

Has definitely gone to a good home and is being well looked after.

Was intending buying a standard Civic Type R as a sensible daily car but i'd have only modified it anyway.

Mods it has are:

Toda manifold and decat
Kakimoto cat back exhaust
Tein superstreet coil overs with EDFC controller.
Polybushed lower arms
Uprated engine mounts
K100 Ecu
ITG induction kit
RBC inlet manifold polished and ported to 70mm
Mugen pedals and front lip
Brembo front discs and yellow stuff pads

Car has fairly high miles so was a little concerned but been told they are pretty bulletproof.

Future plans are to get the scratches on the front bumper sorted, refurbish the alloys (rears have been done already) and fit some decent tyres to replace the Nankang ditchfinders on the front.

Opinions welcome.

I would really like a charger but can't bring myself to sell my Nova to pay for it.

Bought it from Wales but with 14 owners there is every chance it has lived in Sheffield.

IIRC most supercharged ep3's make about 180-190lbs ft which is much better than the standard 140

It's on 107k so think that made it so cheap as people seem scared by high mileages when buying one.

I can't even compare it to my Corsa really as it really is so much better. I liked my Corsa and it was very reliable but was never keen on the looks or the interior. The only Civic negatives I can think of over the Corsa are you can't fix it for 50p and there are none in scrapyards to get parts from. Also insurance is nearly double on the Civic.

So to all those owners who say XE corsa's are quicker than type r's... please see above?

Might as well update this thread.

New seats.

Gruppe M

Won my class in the 1/4 mile at York with 14 seconds @ 103mph (beat a few stripped XE Corsa's)

Bumper painted and headlights painted inside.

JDM rear anti roll bar.

And the fun bit.

Debating whether to fit it at the moment as my insurance is a stonking £1200 if I do plus the car is on 112k now!

Exhaust is very noisy but filter isn't too bad at all for noise until it's on VTEC.
