got a x16xe and i was wondering if i changed the injectors to c16xe's and/or the air flow meter to c16xe would i get any gains or are they both the same?

or any other sugestions for power gains for x16xe?

its de-catted, and has a cone filter, just had part service and is due few other standard parts to change/fix

not imo
Altho inlet manifold, exh manifold, performance cat back, port+polished head blank egr. All done on my mates gsi kicking out 177bhp

genuine pal got it done 3 times as i thought bolox at first
Full exh system no cat was the biggest noticed difference

no disresect to your mate 177, doubt that. although cammed cant be too far off at the f.wheel

and yea inlet on my list but they pricey.

c16 injectors are no different.

There is no point in going for "bigger" injectors, Your not getting more air into the engine (By that I mean lots more air, like turbocharging, Not some gay cone filter etc)

Also, I'd like to see you try and fit a c16 AFM in-place of the X16 one, As the x16xe don't have one

Take the cone off de-restrict the standerd air box Inlet exhaust 4.2.1 uni chip loads u can do

You wouldn't even see 177bhp on an XE with those mods. Tell your mate to take his face for a shite

So if you get a exhaust mani, port and polish the head you will gain 52bhp

De-restrict airbox, panel filter, 421 manifold, new inlet. You would see good gains just from them

like i said, inlet is on my list but as for air intake i was thinking about a cold air induction pipe kut in the bumper. also wich manifolds better 4.2.1 or 4.1 as the exhaust v.low at the front as it is

i noticed a topic regarding cool running thermostats, who makes them for the 16xe's and what would the advances be there, sure they not something to D.I.Y with a std thermostat

Dont bother with them unless your doing alot of track days and its a track car. Can get them off LMF

They open fully at 80degrees iirc so the car doesnt warm up properly. Ok if your ragging it around a circuit all day as it keeps the engine cool
