Quick question really as i know a few people on here have these..
When the phone is locked, can you have a code which you need to type in to unlock it again like the iphones have? like a keylock pin code or something?

It won't be something that will activate with the slide on the side either pressing power button once selecting the lock/security option or lock keys as normal and set 30src delay.
It's not auto like an iphone

Yeah, but it's got the best camera you can get on a phone. Just ask Ste W about it...

 I know so many people who have had iPhones and gone back to Nokias once the "I'm so cool, I have an iPhone" stage has worn off.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Watched tv in bed this morning.
Try that on an N8?
The fact you can't find out how to lock it. Then when you do you have to manually add it or wait for a timer you'll realise you want your iPhone back

That's news to me Dom, does it work though? As my N97 had "iplayer" but it didn't work very well, pixellated kept pausing crashed the phone etc.

Make sure you're using their mobile site, likewise you might need to install Flashlite. There have been a few reports of people having issues using it on WiFi but i never had an issue once i updated Flash.

They've got Real Player on them right? Could try using http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/ as that's an HTML5 web app.

I did actually, iplayer HD via my HDMI output to the tv. Can't do that with the iPhone tbh.

I think the fact that every non-related 'phone' thread turns into an iPhone slating match tells you how good they are.

Quite the opposite. People brag about how great their iPhone is thinking that nothing is better, then don't like it when the Nokia pisses on it.

That is nothing to do with their ability as a phone and everything to do with their popularity. Being the most popular doesn't equal being the best.
My old dear has an N8, it is actually a very clunky and awkward phone. The only 2 things that are good are the camera and the HD output which she uses to watch films I've downloaded on the living room TV.

I'm at the point where I don't even need to defend the iPhone when people slate it, its that good.
