Just got a new job down in london, so i have to make the big move out of the parents home and fend for myself from now on!
Anyone living down there, what places should i be avoiding? I know its bloody expensive but i preferable dont want to be living in a shit hole!
Ill be renting a flat with the girlfriend (who will need to find a job asap!) Any recommendations?

Congrats on the job mate, big decision to up sticks and move so far away as well. You'll do well to find a nice affordable flat in a decent area though. Everything is stupidly overpriced down there.

Outer M25 flat plus train will probably be your friend.
Some nice new flats going up in Stevenage a short walk from the station. About 25-30mins on the train into London Kings Cross.

If you want to live outside London but the north side so a bit easier getting back home, I recommend the A1 corridor, rather than M1 tbh.

Mountain biking won't be as good down there fella
Dunno if I could do it, my mate lives in London and keeps trying to convince me to move down but I just don't think it's for me! I'm a country bumpkin at heart! Good luck!

I'm a country bumpkin and live 40 minutes away by train commute.
If you're prepared for a commute, you can live in some fantastic countryside places.

Sure you can but it's no Lake District.
When do you start?

Move into the Ashford area, get on the "bullet train" which takes you to london in 30 minutes.

Start in 2 weeks, or whenever i am ready.
Ill have a look at these places cheers.
Might be mad, but my work will be just on the A40 off the north circular.
Would i be mad to drive? I dont mind the commute, but at the same time, the neerest station is a 20 min walk away, + time on train etc
Put it this way, i live an 8 min drive away from work at the moment, so this could be a shock!
And yeah, no riding for a while

A yearly ticket from Sevenoaks (Kent) to London is 3k. Prices from ashford must be sky high. I would seriously reccomend looking into somewhere in the borough of bromley? Near a station so anerley/penge/beckenham way. Quiet areas within walking distance of a few stations.
Or just live somewhere central n crap for a while. Best option tbh
^^^ I just read your in Ealing, so my info is pretty usless as it all for south/central

I know plenty of people that live in London and I would say its a 50/50 split between those that are/have become cunts and ones that are still sound.
The ones that turn into cunts have always been delusional and generally had an underlying tone of cuntness about them.
