Hi!! Been on here for ages as everyone is before eventually starting a thread....

Think I'll just get on with it now;
Bought a £600 Frost blue B back in 2008 with 33450 miles on.. Old lady owner so very clean and tidy, just a few rust spots on the sills and corner of the front wings

after a year of not liking corsa's at all i decided to start modding and bought some bad SXI alloys for £40

only lasted about 6 months though

had some rust holes appearing on the sills so wanted them welding up, used that as an excuse to strip the whole interior bar the front seats

found this under the carpet... strip of paper with my initials

debadged, filled and painted the bootlock surround (bad paint job but first attempt) and dewipered the boot

got some blue LEDs for the dash and a kit for neon lights in the footwell to come on when you open the door

then a bloke at work bought some HIDs and gave me the tinted sidelight bulbs... so why not

felt a little chavvy so got the halfords special treatment

when i started workin full time last year decided to start some bigger better mods, on the phone to demon tweeks got me this 300mm OMP steering wheel

bought a set of freshly refurbed Cesaro's of Taylor2008 on here.. wrapped in Proxie T1R's too

also decided yellow brake calipers would be cool so before and after shots

got myself a tigra scuttle panel

recently got hold of some morettes and an e-tech front strut brace

always hated how high it stud, and after saying for months and months i was gonna get coilovers.... eventually i did get GAZ GHA's and got them fitted last weekend. thanks to P1CK4D (Spelling??) on here got them brand new for a good price!

fronts done set lowest to fit easily... very nose down lol

And done

its set a little nose down as i prefer that look and i love it!!! still havent played much with the damping settings but i want to get camber bolts fitted and fully aligned first.

and finally while i was at The Fast Show i spent a little money on stickers

sorry for the terribly long thread but 1 1/2 years of modding to catch up on... please tell me your thoughts and suggestions, thanks for lookin!!

Whats the ride like on the GAZ coilovers? Are they really stiff, what they like compared to the standard suspension?

Made some really nice modifications thus far, keep up the good work.

another frost blue

looking good mate, not too keen on the indicators in the front bumper, is there no way of hiding them or making them a little more subtle?

With the coilovers I got the springs for c20let conversion as it's gonna be a track toy after it's finished .. So they are really stiff, quite crashy almost but solid and hardly any body roll on cornering.

The indicators are a temporary thing as I plan to get a irmy airdam and led indicators like FAZ.

Thanks for your comments

Small update, with the weather being so nice lately and being fed up of rusty brake drums... out came the wire brush and black hammerite

looks loads better i think, while i was there thought it best to copper grease the coilover bodies so they dont seize up on me and again while i was at it, thought id lower it a bit more.

really like how easy coilovers are to change the height on!!! also gave it a good wash and polish then used a heat gun on the black plastic arches and bumpers... hadnt done this before but really happy how it turned out!

thanks for reading,
comments welcome

Update time;

Had a nice drive to Newcastle last week to buy these of Mieran on here, Monoco S's with willans harnesses, OMP sliders and Nova weld in mounts (sliders and weld in mounts are for sale as i dont need them)

despite loads of people on here saying it cant be done, i wanted to mount them to my standard subframes, bought some angled alloy 6mm thick, 50mm one side and 76mm the other

after 2 nights of debating with my dad, we decided how we were gonna do it and got on with it.. the result is this

not too different height wise to standard seats!!

dont have a pic of both buckets fitted at the mo but will get one soon!!!!

slate or rate people

thanks

As stated before pics of both bucket seats fitted

Also another couple of mods, slightly inspired by Bigron's project.. a lower front strutbrace

to be honest, cant say it does anything for cornering speeds but it kinda makes everythin feel a little more stable.... if that makes sense haha

And finally for now, inspired by my mates classic mini.. name of the tyres on the sidewalls painted white

the front tyre in that pic looks a bit flat but it was a failed attempt at fitting camber bolts

Smiths Metal Centres, i paid £30 for a 2m cut off, usually bought in 4 or 6 meter lengths. unsure how much that costs though. And thanks
