Had to have tyre fixed on my corsa today, had big screw sticking in it. Anyway whil at the garage had a look at cars for sale and saw one I really liked.
Peugeot 306 D Turbo P reg 77K on clock, alright suppose but it is diesel so doesnt make any odds really,
Fully alarmed full closure car phone kit nice wheels perfect body work etc
£2500
What you lot recon
My dad got a 306 petrol really nice drive, preffer it to my corsa driving position and sticks to the road and faster as I only got 1.2.
What you all think then please??

This time 18 months ago I was looking at getting one of these. They were about £5500 for a half decent one so that's quite a drop in price in 18 months innit if that's all they're worth now! I must say I bought a VTR instead as they represented better value for money at the time. I quite like these to be honest but happy with my corsa now

When I was looking at these a fair few had problems with the CAT at about 70k so check what condtion it is in before ya buy it. They can be expensive to fix!
Also if I remember right it was a really cheap insurance group. Summet like Group 5!

The gearcvhange isnt smooth at all, my brothers even got a brand new 206 well it was and the gearchange is notchy and horribl eon that too, although the 307 he had on test the other week was an improvement.
Road handling is better than the corsa but then its a bigger car.
I would never swap though!

the 306td is a nice car and for a few £££'s can be tuned quite nicely (intercooler, New ECU..etc..) The driving position is nice and the suspension set-up is ok.
(i have to drive the works 1 when i go an a training course and must say for a diesel is a nice car.
The only prob with this is that the fuken dash sqeeks and rattle non stop.
If its what u want 8 go for it, dont be influenced by other peoples opinions (if we all did that the world would be a boring place!!)))

Was gonna say diesel=slow but if you only have a 1.2 the performance well prob be better. I am quite a fan of the 306 to, look really nice modded, quads ecosse gear etc, nearly bought a GTI-6.
Could even stick the leather out of a gti in it if you get

MAke sure its got the Bosch fuel pump if you want to tune it. IN gear acceleration is pretty good as standard, handlings not bad either.
