Reason i ask is i woke up this morning and my leg was itching.Looked down and there was 2 big bite marks about 1cm apart(from the middle of each bite).Wasn't there before i went to bed.

If it was from a spider,it must have been a big fuker with big fangs.

I have 2 cats who were flea treated 2 days ago.Bed covers/sheets were also washed last night.

I have came to the conclusion(thanks to CS) that it was a pissed off adder that had just been weathered and refused a halfords trade card.

Wrong, daddy long legs fangs arent long enough the go through human skin or hurt us. They are actually the most poisonous insect from the 'spider family' but due to their tiny fangs they cant harm us.

They are not the most poisonous. that is an urban myth. Mythbusters tested it and proved they can bite and extracted the 'venom' to find out it is very very weak

these spiders

which are normally found in baths etc can bite but usually dont, even when you pester them they wont bite.

(pick one up with gloves on and stick the end of your glove near its fangs, they wont bite)

hate those pesky spiders, i've ejected 3/4 from my house in the past week if they want to live outside my house, especially the windows, then we can live in harmony. they eat all the flys but don't come in the house. but every now and then 1 takes it up a notch and crosses over that threshold

Dont think they do, plus it takes the lazy bastards to climb anything.
I tried for ages trying to get one to walk on my hand but ended up throwing it out by its leg.

yes spiders do bite, i remember sitting in the garden at a house party with a girl and she got bitten by a spider and i find it hilarious.

i ended up having sex with her that night and i still believe the spider bite helped lead to that
