hello all.
i was looking into boring a redtop block into a 2.1L. once i have done this do i use the same crankshaft or do i use another shaft from something else?
apart from oversized pistons, do i need to change anything else?
cheers

88mm pistons, only bummer is if you damage a bore, it's new block time,
Nothing else, but not much point unless your running a big spec tb'd xe.

I've got 87mm pistons in mine, with standard rods, and crank.

for the price of steel rods these days id chuck some steel rods in and try and use the earlier xe crank, its lighter and stronger than the later so will help it rev quicker and also put less stress on the engine due to the weight loss

i am running hayabusa throttle bodies on my xe but fancied some more power. i agree with the steel rods. do you guys now what sort of extra power is gained by 87mm pistons?
