A mate of mine fitted a full set of front and rear EBC turbo grooved discs and red stuff pads on his 57 plate R32 and done less than 50 miles on them then decided to trade the car in for the new X5 sport. They cost him just over £630 supplied and fitted and asked if I would be interested in swapping my standard stuff over plus cash his way, £200 offered his way and the deal was done. He's even booked my car into the same work shop at his expense to have everything swapped over.

I had this exact set up on my Evo 8 and they performed very well. All I need now is braided lines

The only luck I usually get is bad luck so i'm well chuffed

Just thought i'd share

Purely based on the fact EBC stuff is shite.Redstuff pads are shocking.

I had them on my previous cars all which were given there fair share of abuse, Evo 8, Ibiza Cupra, 106 GTi and all have stopped on a dime. No hassle with any disc or pad and the GTI was on the supposidly worse green sruff pads. The Evo in particular was unreal with the only addition being braided lines.

How longs a piece of string mate, it all depends on how aggressive you are and with the wife driving the car 80% of the tme they should last a bloody long time I just couldnt pass up the chance as a new set of front discs alone from VW costs around the £200 mark.

Aye me too.

Ive bought cars which have had them fitted and quickly changed them for standard. They just don't have any bite at all. Most of which were Greenstuff pads.

Old Pulsar had Redstuff's fitted into Hi-Spec 4 pots and they were lethal. From cold, you needed to jump on them for a good while before you actually wanted to stop.
On track they gave no confidence at all even when well up to temp.No pedal feel at all.

This was 2-3 years ago so they may well have changed the compound since.

He bought his from dingbro then had to pay to get them fitted. Got the reciept with it as well plus it's the turbo grooved and dimpled discs. Don't know if they're any more expensive.

I had the brembos on my LCR and changed them to the ebc discs and it made a difference. Badger bill off seatcupra.net highly recommended them as he used the set up on his track car.
