just spoke to a lad at the end of the street, didn't ask what he does for a living or anything like that but he's got a 3.2 v6 porche (if that's spelt rite) and he looks quite young, i'd say around 25ish. first off i asked why you not got the top down on a day like this and he laughed and said the lass moans it messes her hair up, then i asked whats the insurance on it...

just less than £700!!
unlimited mileage etc...

i thought i had a good quote on a 1.6 corsa with 3 points and 2 ncb aged 23 £600

i only pay just over £500 for the vx all mods declaired, protected ncb and windscreen etc etc unlimited milage aswell.

Your 1st mistake was to use gocompare.

Insurance now is a lot more expensive these days

im with flux on mine 16 sport and the only way i got mine to what i thought was quite cheap was by telling them im only going to do 3000k. they have asked for proof now

On a serious note though; with insurance if you get something quirky or something that someone your age isnt likely to own then it tends to be less of a risk in the eyes of the insurance companies.

a guy at work - he's from india, been in the uk less than a year - got an international license...

Said he wanted to get a car,
bought a £3000 ford focus.
Tried to insure it...

Got quotes of £4000



- it's no wonder people drive without insurance in this country.
