As the title really, what did it go like, what was your MPG like afterwards, also did it go bang?
I'm looking at getting one, to drive about in, and fancied playing with it.

my mate had one, dont know much about them myself but im sure he had a bigger turbo on set to 2 bar or something, said it went like shit, but he had to get rid as someone backed into the side of it when it was parked up and his mods weren't declared on the insurance, he had to put it all back to standard to get the money for it, got himself a 1.2 c sxi after that but his bro's just got a 1.5 diesel b. haven't seen it yet, il let you know if i find anything else about them though. sure someone got a nice white van one on here

I've been looking at the thread on Mig, it's a bit big to read the lot.
So I'm thinking, remove the white ring, fit a bleed valve, and a intercooler, and wind the fuel up
I can get used hydraulic oil from work, so may give that a go after filtering it.

I remember back when I had this badboy, surprisingly fast for me and anyone I took in it.
it was completely stripped out with just two bucket seats, airfilter bolted right close to the turbo and a straight through pipe running 17psi of boost. this car had virtually no lag.
as you can probably tell it didnt even sound like a diesel on the move, obviously there was no hiding the tractor idle

If you saw the Cav that died on Track at Combe the other week, that was my old one - it was the 1.7 Isuzu, had been running increased fuelling and 22-23psi Boost for around 2 years before letting go - was good fun
There is a big TD guide on VxON too that is pretty useful
But yeah, for the 1.5, do what you suggested a couple of posts up, and that should be about if for a basic start.
Edit - Guide Link - should work if unregistered! - http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/showthread.php?77961-Diesel-How-2-Tune-your-turbo-diesel

ive had a tuned 1.5 and now im on my second tuned 1.7, there great fun as such good gains for little money. i get 40/45mpg thrashing it around on short journeys, but if i do a long run on the motorway i can get 60/65mpg.
then theres the fact you can run it on pritty much anything you want to

Agreed, although it was a quick vid I made just to show the sound.... which i think is fairly decent for corsa that only set me back 400 quids at the time

I'll be putting my Sport up for sale this weekend, so after that I can have a look for one.
Does anyone know if I take the intercooler pipe work off a 1.7 Astra, it will fit straight onto a Corsa 1.5?
Not too keen on a massive one sticking out of the front.
My throught have been, K&N panel filter, de-restrict the air box, intercooler, the boost, and fuel mods.
Then run it on what oil, I can find at work

the 1.7 pipework wont fit the 1.5 inless you rotate the turbo housing on the 1.5.
the 1.5 turbos outlet points up where as the 1.7 points down.
iveco daily intercooler
doesnt stick out at all

Could I fit the turbo from a 1.7 ?
Then use the pipe work, also looking at a chargecooler, and use a A/C rad.

yea you could fit a 1.7 turbo but you need to replace the whole manifold as the 1.5 turbo is 3 stud the 1.7 is 4 stud.
the only problem with the 1.7 intercooler is its fixed to the side of the radiator and there isn't room to fit it into the corsa bay you would have to have it infront of the radiator anyway

ok here is a better video altho not my car lol
out of interest why do you say your mpg would drop all the intercooler does is drop the intake temp so surely if anything you would get slightly better mpg if driven normally?
