Won a Seat Sport intercooler from a Cupra and pipework (for a 1.8 20v T) off ebay last week. Bought the forge hose kit for the PD130 and planning on selling on the hoses for the 1.8 20v

Fitted the intercooler last night, worst part of the job was trimming the bumper to fit due to the pipework. Started off with taking a little bit off with a hacksaw. In the end I got the grinder out and just kept trimming little pieces off until it fitted. None of the "modifications" can be seen from the front though which is all good Not overally impressed with the fit of the Forge pipework, pretty shit tbh. Some hoses seem way too long, and the wiring for the sensor has to be extended as its really tight. Luckily I managed to play about with the hose and get it sitting a bit closer, and freed up some wiring that was taped up so that I didnt have to go cutting wires.

Few pics from as I was going on, wasnt finished till dark so Il get pics today of how it sits behind the bumper

Intercooler and hoses was £256, and then £230 for the Forge hose kit. Hoping to sell on the hoses that came with the intercooler

The hose kit was for a petrol and wouldn't fit. Hose kit was standard hose too and wanted to go for silicone and alloy hoses. The standard boost hoses on Seat's use shite connections that loads of people have problems with, me being one of them

Intercoolers cool the air that comes from the turbo before it goes into the engine. The standard intercooler is pictured above, and sits in the wheel arch and hardly gets any air flow compared to a bigger one which sits in the front bumper. Plus im planning getting a uprated clutch, exhaust and custom map for more power.
This intercooler came up on ebay so thought I would go for it, sell the pipes on hopefully and buy the forge kit. Should hopefully work out cheaper than buying one brand new from the dealers. So you happy now iv explained why I bought it?

Theres already an air conditioning rad/condensor infront of the rad anyway. Plus, the cupras come standard like this so cant see it having a big effect if some come from the factory with it
