I bought the engine off my mate and he said it had a small oil leak, he said it looked like it was coming from the end crank cap (fly wheel side) as he couldnt remember if he sealed it properly when he put the crank back in.
Is it possible for it to leak from there? or is it probably just the sump?
Also what is the best sump gasket to use?
Thanks

As for the sump gasket I'm told its best to use a 2.0 8v sump gasket but you need the 8v baffle and bolts to go with it.

Jamie, its the 2.0 8v rubber gasket with the baffle plate bonded into it, don't forget to bend one of the tabs though, Then you just need shorter bolts.

with the 8v gasket you need m6x20 bolts as the 8v bolts are too short and the 16v bolts are too long, ive just ordered one for mines
