Renewal came up, they matched a better quote.

Also got TP cover for anything with no exclusions

£738 TPFT on a Saxo VTS, all mods declared, 2 Years NCB, 5 Years driving, 3 points dating back to 4 years ago.

Highly recommend these guys, always helpful and UK based customer service who know there stuff!

i got quoted £800 through flux even though my previous car was a corsa c-let which i was insuring for 700 with everything declared was ridiculous, asked why it was more than my corsa lady just replied saxos are more known to be involved in accidents with young drivers

I don't like HIC, if your a new customer and get windscreen cover, you have to pay for 12months but only get 11months cover cos you can't claim in the first month! When I cancelled my policy they gave me fuck all back too.

Given how much insurance seems to have gone up it'll do.

I had my renewal last month from Flux, paying £970 on a Sport, with 3 yrs ncb, 1 accident and 4 years driving and all mods declared. Went down not even £100. Can insure a 1.8 SRi C for £717 though, which I can't understand being a bigger engine.

Well I was gonna buy a Starlet Turbo EP91, as as you said cheap to insure plus great fun. Then Toyota announced the whole thing on parts being scarce (sp?) on UK spec cars, let alone Jap imports. If parts are more readily available by August, i'll buy one, if not just get an SRi.

I looked into getting a 1999 Fiat Punto GT. Only a 1.4 8v turbo so tax (was at the time) the same as my 12v Corsa (£62 for 6 months) and I was getting insurance quotes (also, at the time) of around £450-550 a year.
