what will i get if i got caught by a speed camera doing 100 on the a229? i really dont know if there was a speed camera we couldnt see one when we was on the way back but the slight chance i did get flashed what will i get??? cheers

great  im sure the last 2mile stretch up to the roundabout had no speed cameras just a bit worried  my mate told me to drive back to be 100% sure i might have to to put my mind at rest how long does it take for them to send you the letter??

I think it's a ban over 96, but if the speedo is 10% wrong won't you have just been doing 90?

if they say your doing just over the amount to not get banned then ask for proof there cam was calibrated that exact day

upto 3 weeks innit?
i was worried for 3 weeks solid as i was going from Durham to Scarborough with my foot flat most of the way. seen a silver astra with a tripod beside it flash me
i was doing around 100, then drastically dropped to about 75ish when it flashed, didnt think until later "shit, thats a 60 road"
heard nout yet and that was about 2 month ago

Sam (my step brother) just got 6 points for this but wasnt gunned or camera'd just caught by a police car :/

your rite to a certain extent mate, there's sites giving advice on disputing it. and like i said, if you request proof there camera was calibrated that day and they cant show it then you stand a chance but, suppose it depends on the officer in control. there above the law remember

the police officer was very understanding that it was a bit of an emergency but he said look on my onboard computer cam at the clip..... time went on and he couldn't find it..., in the end i just thought fuck it, il take the 3 points and £60 fine for the team as i was in a rush to find my drunken mother. probs stood a good chance aswell. nevermind
that didnt effect my insurance if its any help, but i think speeding might

had a mate who only had a provisional licence, drove a mates car from the garage at the back of his house, unisured, to the front drive and got 6. he actually cried as his test was booked and paid 2 days after 
advice - move to durham, its the only city in the UK that doesnt have any fixed speed cams, and you sharp learn were the mobile cams park

i dont think i have been tbh think its more paranoyer i wasnt at 100 for that long plus i had to slow down for the roundabout and they would have one right next to a roundabout would they so i hope if i have been caught its more 80-90 where i had to keep slowing dow for cars fingers crossed i dont hear anything in the next few weeks...
