Anyone ever been to/had a humanist wedding ceremony? Cousins wedding on Friday there was humanist and it was lovely. I've always said it's what I'd want to do, and its now legally recognised. Don't fancy the idea of standing at an alter spewing religious garbage I don't believe in.

Same with humanist funerals, really nice way to celebrate the persons life.

Instead of the usual religious stuff, its the couples "story", how they met, how he proposed, why they're so in love etc etc. Have their own vows and readings of basically whatever they want instead of prayers and stuff. Try Google it, my description is probably awful.

The 'religious garbage' is tradition though innit? And it seems more real and serious, to me anyway. If I was getting married and it wasn't with a vicar in a church with hymns and stuff it would all feel a bit mickey mouse to me.

As I already stated Moe, each to their own. To me, it is rubbish but I fully respect that it isn't to others.

I remember the first time we met, like it was yesterday. I saw her across the chat room, her username glowing in bright pink lettering. The name stood out instantly, like it was calling me. It read "XxX--DiRtYsTaCeY--XxX", i knew she was meant for me...
