Just after some advice from some older/more experienced members
Basically i am thinking of renting a flat for the first time, rent will be roughly £450.
Would be great if anybody could give me a rough idea of all the other bills involved please
I have roughly 1200 quid a month in my hand, often more.
At present car insurance is 200, phone bills etc 50 quid.
So at least 900 to play with..
Thanks

If you live with parents at the moment. Stay there and keep the extra £ for a deposit for a house is the best option. If you have to rent budget for around 800 mark. But that wont include petrol costs + maintance for car etc

Monthly bills for me are just over £1100, mortgage is £500, that includes food, fuel, everything.
I live close enough to work to walk every day though, so saving a load in fuel.

but as stated, if you can stay at home until you save a deposit, much better idea
