Would this lump go in on the same mounts as an 20XE? or is it custom built stuff?

This is something I'd like to build as I've never seen one done. Maybe there's a reason behind that though?

I'm not interested in hearing that engine being slagged off, just want to know how easy it is to put it in.

Cheers

Doubt it would fit with it having a reverse head.

Could use the bottom end with an XE head though.

supercharge it and you have 250bhp.

no idea about how it fits tho, good engines tbh, fairly bullet proof but underpowered as standard in my eyes.

id be interested how you get on

Actually, theyr used to be a white Corsa B with a supercharged 2.2 in it a few years back. Was in TV and seen it up at Knockhill.

So it is do-able.

Ive just changed the timing chain on mine after the tensioner gave up.Luckily caught it in time.

Good engines, quite light with being alu, decent torque to make up for being under-powered.
Quite like mine, goes well, has a good bit of pull even from low down.

all alloy, buts its massive in comparasion,

bigger than a XE and will be a very tight fit, bad enough in a zaffy or veccy

custom mounts, alot of work, wouldnt bother over power advantages of a redtop, want a newer engine fit a z18xe

Z22se is a lot of work

However the x22xe (iirc) out of a frontera is a lot less work and a better engine (imo)

Stop being such a nimrod, if it's electronic throttle then that means it's CANBUS which means you need an aftermarket ECU and a boost controller, and then a brake bias tap so the car doesn't do an endo. Plus while you're there you may as well polybush and powdercoat the lower arms so that the torque doesn't warp them.

Easy sorted for 110quid.

Or less if you don't want a genuine GM kit.
