For me It would prob be an Evo 8, There 4x4 - Plenty of tuning can be done and they look boss!

Iv always prefered the older models so an evo 5 for me.

But to be honest,

A c20let b would be

Corsa 1.6 sport - 1
1.7 puma engined fiesta - 0

Keeping corsa's on the redline since 2008

Same development put into a corsa as per any other fwd car for motorsport and your comment doesn't stand up

anything is allowed..... as long as its not a tubed chassis. Budget is what you want to spend

They go in the prototype class.

I'd choose a GT3 RS too... wouldnt kick ass but would be fun.

If you are going to be a front runner in club you'd need 600+ bhp

Pro - make that 1000bhp maybe

Bo does pretty well in his Astra VXR in the FWD class.

A corsa B would be hopeless.

Why would a corsa be hopeless but an astra VXR can do well? they are both fwd etc, like you said with enough development....

Im not arguing btw, genuinely intriuged/interested.

The Corsa B is how old?

What does 'development' cover? Spending loads more to make it just as fast as something else?

Thats kinda my point - why hinder yourself? No doubt you could make a Corsa B a a great car.

I don't know what development covers, thats what I was asking you, as I know fuck all about TA or what it takes to make a car competitive

I've always wondered how an X type would get on in a competitive environment

considering you can pick them up for peanuts now

I wouldnt think there was too much available off the shelf to make an X type handle well. So maybe expensive as you'd have to do a lot of the testing yourself.

Impreza's, EVO's etc are common in TimeAttack as they are very well catered for. You can rely on other people to test/develop parts.

Thats kinda where my comment was coming from. Its easier to make a fast car faster, especially when there is so much knowledge and products available.

A corsa B - what would you plan to do? Its chassis isnt great by a long shot.... but you can prob make it competative. BUT i think it would be easier to make a Clio Cup car, or Fiat 500 arbarth faster for example. All comes down to budget and preferences though. It would be good to see somebody giving it a go.

There is a 500bhp Astra entered this year.... its Feckin rapid (in a straight line) but nowhere in the corners. Thats my vision of a corsa B in Time Attack.

There was a Corsa VXR involved at somepoint last year.... it got pumped by lesser powered Mini's I think.

Fee's car took a few years to get to where it was last year - we do things incrementaly though so take our time. I dont class it as a big budget car either - more a true club class car.
