Extra cushion on the seat base?
I can never get on with fixed back buckets.

it's not just bucket sets mate.

my puma seats give me awful back ache as they have no lower back support for me.

when i drive my fiesta it's so much better and the seats properly support you and you can definitely feel the difference.

think it's called lumbar support?

also if you have general pain in your lower back, stand up straight and push both your fists into your middle lower back area together, pushing forward.

NB// diagram below hasn't worked, but you get the idea!!

Don't know if this helps mate, but here we go.....I work within the NHS and recently we had to attend a 'manual handling' lecture. The lady picked us lads out for being tall and asked if we had bad backs - we all said yes, the lower back.

She reckoned that if you lie on the floor on your back, then lift your legs up and put them on the sofa making a shape like this:
_ (feet here on sofa)
(head here on floor) _I (Sofa here)

...for 5 minutes each night, it helps to unwind all of the muscles in your lower back which you use most of the time, especially when driving.
No idea if it works, but she's the expert - worth a go?

that pain your having is because you have bad posture,
i find the best way to stretch it out, is layflat on the floor with a full 2litre bottle under the base of your back,

Let us know how you get on, might try it myself if it makes a difference! I can't justify lounging around on the living room floor unnecessarily!

i went to the doctors last week because i get terrible back pain and he said it's a spasm of the 2 muscles to the left and right of the spine.

he prescribed me diclofenac and diazepam for 4 weeks.

probably best to go to your GP also.

they look fairly upright and too high above the wheel height in that pic, you’re probably straining your back being hunkered over the wheel and with the seat being upright the front cushion isn’t giving good lumbar support either
you can get little lumbar pads that velcro in the corners of the rear back cushion about 1/3 of the way up that may help but i’dlook at remounting them differently

yes and tilt the seat back a little so the front cushion gives good support to your lumbar via your thighs

its relative to the pedals and wheel though, looks like they are on sliding subframes? this usually means you sit higher than the stock seat, but you do want to be a little under the wheel if possible and the angle of your legs to the pedals is important, its not the easiest thing to do unless you do seat rails and fix the sat in one position, but well worth it imo

You can buy velco backed inflatable lumber supports which you can use in them type of seats if your finding you need lower back support.
