Replace this god awful runflats. They were brand new on when I got it in January, done 6,000 miles (1 trip to Nurburgring and 20 min session of Combe) and they are on the wear markers, utterly shite and its not just the fronts either, rears are shagged as well.

So need 205/45/17, I don't want Wanli and I did want Dunlop Sport Maxx SP but they don't do them in that size, had them on the Astra much better than the Conti Sport Contact 2 & 3's

So suggestions, around £110 each I'll pay.

A good friend of mine never used to alternate from GSD3 goodyear eagle f1's and now has put these on the front of his fd3 rx7 and swears by them...

They seem to be a sort of step down from an a048r if you get what i mean?

well technically an a048r is a road tyre, however these seem more "fast road" orientated than the normal breed

they're ment to be the best tyres available for FWD cars, however i've never tried them.

i was impressed with eagle f1's, i liked dunlop sp9000's and think t1-rs are good but too soft.. have toyo px4's at present and they arent too bad, but are awful in the wet.

(all on a circa 250hp 1000kg fwd hatch with diff)

Falken 452's/912's are a superb tyre. There a lot better than the F1's I used to run.

I had the Pilot Exalto's on my 182, they were fucking ace!!!

VERY grippy, i did 7k on them before i sold the car, were on 7mm ish when i got it, and after 7k they still had 3/4mm on, that included a few runs up the dragstrip, and a full day at Cadwell.

I would suggest asking on a Mini forum.

You are going to get all sorts of mixed opinions of tyres on different cars.

Whats good on 1 car, might be totally different on another.

Ditto I ran Exaltos to Toyo T1r's to Goodyear F1 GSD3's to Conti Sportcontact 2's back to Exaltos and they were so much better. Pilot Exaltos are the nuts and they actually last a while too.

Tbh the opinion is pretty mixed even over on Mini Torque

I run Avon ZZ3's which are quite a bit below your budget - bought them on recommendation from various things I read on MT. They're ok, but nowt great.

Our Focus runs the same size tyres I think...after a spell with Crappy Yoko S drives we just forked out for a set of Pirelli P Zeros and you litterally cant unstick it.

I find them great on our focus but as someone pointed out above each car behaves differently to tyres. I can magine ditching the RFT's you'll feel an immediate improvement.

try tyre traders

http://www.tyretraders.com/tyresearchresults.aspx?width=205&ratio=45&rim=17&man=All&flat=False&filter=Price&ftype=Ascending&pricing=1&cat=All&speed=All&Loading=All&tyreType=All

Can go wrong with most premium brands tbh whether it be Pirelli P zeros, Yoko Advans or Conti Sport contacts
