VTR wouldnt struggle as much with it being higher CC capacity

someone get some stats up then. Like to see you say a supercharged vtr is slow as shit Not very quick for a 1600 as standard but it isnt bad at all for insurance group 7..

but the VTR would struggle less with the larger capacity. Also the 90 break comment is 50/50 new ones are 97+ if i recall

Corsa would not loose hands down.

Would be pretty evens up till about 50 odd. Then the extra bhp and cc of the Saxo would take it slightly in front. Would then be a gradual lead increase from the saxo.

Are we talking just straight line speed or actually racing in terms of track. VTR may only be marginally quicker to 60 but the do have far superior handling to a Sport.

racing around town is ghey. How do you know his car wasnt fucked? he couldn't drive for shit? etc etc Just check the stats and be done with it. They will be pretty close but the vtr will win. Lighter and bigger engine car will win.

Right then simple answer to the original question.

If both cars are standard the VTR would beat a 1.4 16v Sport both in a straight line and/or round a track no matter how little in it. As for a 1.6 Sport/GSI I have never driven one and do not know the specs so I can comment but a 1.4 would lose simple as that

1.6 sport/gsi corsa would beat a vtr, basically from slowest to fastest - 1.4 16v corsa, saxo vtr, corsa gsi/1.6 sport, saxo vts
