I'm selling my work Bold BB (current model) and need to get it unlocked etc. I'm planning a trip down to Chinatown at lunchtime to get this done (not joking) but what actually needs doing on it?
Because it's a VF company 'phone, obviously it's locked to VF but when I got it, even before I got the Enterprise activated etc., it wouldn't allow me to set-up my own personal e-mail account on there. So does anything special need doing or do I just need to ask them to unlock the 'phone etc.?

just ask them to unlock it. Probably wipe all settings before hand too

you can do bb online its just a code they put in and it unlocks it

would unlocking remove the branding etc or literally just unlock the imei or whatever for use on any network?

It's my Bold BB 9700, need to check the market first really. Its in great condition except for a minor chip on the one corner of the back. Unlocked, all accessories etc.

9780 is the new Bold. Surely you should know that 
9700s go for about £115 on recycling sites so I would say tops £150 ince mint condition with all accessories etc.
I'm gunna sell up I think too
