My friends ecu has gone on her 1.4 16v Sport, where is
the best place to get hold of one? tried ebay
but had no luck, and what work is involved in changing one?
Any help would be great

That's what the garage told her but they cant source one, only going by what i've been told.
Any ideas on rough price?

And also i presume a 1.4 16v unit off of any b will ok? Or does it have to be a sport?

make sure you get ecu chip and transponder all from the same car

Lol i've not really done the looking but her brother was meant to be doing it all for her but he said he couldn't be arsed lol.
Do you know if its just plug and play or does it need to be mapped again?

Yeah its easy to change just make sure the numbers on the front match up with yours so the plugs will be the same. You need to get the transponder chip from the key and the chip reader from around the ignition barrel as all 3 are a matched set. If one of them is different then its cut the standard immobiliser in
