As time goes by I'm sure I'm not alone in missing my first car, mine was a 1981 Ford Capri LS. To be honest, it wasn't really any good. It was quite a good drive ... or so I thought at the time, but I know it was heavy on fuel and it kept crashing into things.
I've only ever driven a Corsa once, and I thought it was terrible, but then I probably wouldn't like the Capri now - but it wouldn't stop me from having one because I enjoyed it so much at the time.
So, would you happily own your first car?

No reason why not but largely pointless as it wouldn't be particularly good at anything.
If it's not a main car then it should have a niche so you've still some reason to own it. 'Just because it was your first car' doesn't give you cause to choose that over anything else in the fleet.

I certainly wouldn't use it every day, but as a nostaligia drive, yes, having the old smells back and something to work on - I'd enjoy that.

I've got enough cars that smell and need work, don't need any more

dont think i'd ever have my first car back, was a burgandy corsa b 5 door LS with laquar peeling everywhere, was only a 1.2 8v and was terrible, ended up smashed into a jetwash screen (the bit that stops the spray going everywhere) and to be honest i've never really regretted it

I'd have my 2nd car back. True drivers' car.
I bought it from new and it was an imperial blue mk5 Ford Fiesta Zetec-S (122bhp on the RR)
I wouldn't have my first car back, it was a 5dr Fiat Punto 60 SX in gold.

No, it was a rusty 12v Corsa. Maybe if it had all the rust sorted and had an XE / LET / V6 in now. Anyways, I don't think its on the road anymore
