I'm not sure if this is the relevant section but will try anyway.

Does anyone know where the timing markings should be on a X14XE when a belt has been replaced? Also does the position of the water pump need to be in a certain way or does it only go in one way?

AFAIK the cam marks will face each other on the cam pulleys and the crank pulley will be a little arrow just to the top right of the pulley.

Crank pully points to a bit on the back of the cam cover at the bottom.

Water pump has a mark to line up with.
