I've won a 206 on egay cheap and the bloke said he has to use easy start to start it everytime. He has been told its glow plugs if so are they expensive?, easy to do?

is it a 1.4 hdi? there common for the fuel pipes to rub through under the air filter causing air to get into the fuel system making it hard or im[possible to start

ah right glow plugs are fairly easy accesable on them should be able to change them no problem , is it high mileage? the shims in the lifters wear causing the valves not to open fully and cause hard to start

find out how long he has been using easy start for, my uncle started using this on his 406 derv, replaced everything to do with fueling and it would still not start unless he used it,

I would say glow plugs for sure.

They used to use this shit on old diesel motors that didn't have glow plugs.

My dads turned was shit to started. New battery,plugs...turned out it was the starter motor. Didnt crank fast enough.

Same engine as my van.

Proper Cunt to start when it's really cold!

Just change the plugs and you'll be all good.

Cheap enough too. Nothing to worry about.

Semi-off topic...

What would most Likely cause a high idle one the 1.9 lump? 1200 cold, 1000 warm, sometimes down to 900. Also runs very cool (80deg ish)
