What are they like to drive and maintain etc.?

I am thinking of possibly leasing one for my company as they seem like good little cars to slap some advertising on, plus with a little engine will cost not that much on fuel I'm guessing (well, definately more fuel efficient for me to go visit customers in than a V6!).

My main concern is that they will fall over if cornering at high-ish speeds?

I'm assuming the engines on them are quite reliable?

Also, how long do the turbos last in them for, 70k or so?

The later 700cc ones are far more reliable plus a hell of alot more efficient! The 600cc ones tend to shit a piston out after about 60k.

Surely if you were leasing a brand new one over a few years then the length of turbo life wouldn't be a concern?

Would the leasing company pay for it to be fixed then?

I've never had a company car before so I don't know about these things!

Well it'd be brand new so it'd have a 3yr warranty for things like that?

Obviously servicing is your issue unless you get maintenance in the contract.

They only do that in reverse, flat out.. How offten are you going to do that unless you are a daft twat

I drive my ML like an animal which is much more unstable than a smart, the ESP keeps it on the flat..

Lol at it rolling over - remember the old W168 A-Class - the first ones? Mum had one of the very first one of them, T reg it was. It used to cock a wheel but the ESP kept it on the floor

IMO the pre 2004 ones arent worth wasting your time with and the one to have is the Pulse with the paddle shift. And the newer ones (08 on) are even better.
