Losing water at a fair rate, had to fill up twice in the past few days, any ideas what could be wrong?

No signs of leaks, stil using abnormal amounts of water when I use the car. Lots of pressure when I open the header tank and the water is a murky browny in colour. Any ideas anyone?

upto you mate, most will say just chuck another engine in. but then theres no guarantee that wont go in a few weeks time.
Probably about £350ish for a garage to do headgasket for you mate, peace of mind then

Cheers mate, tbh for the money I'd rather just stick another engine in that's done less miles

I know what you mean mate but I'd just prefer less mileage whilst I have the opportunity I suppose

on a 14xe astra unfortunately didnt have any eggs though
radwelds slowed it rite down for a good few days and can actually seal it rite up
make sure you give it a good shake before putting it in though

Radweld is only a temp measure and should only be used for 2 weeks or so...
however most people leave it in there, goes like horrible gunky shit and will soon start using water again
