Curious to see what it's like, with the viewpoint of younger people
Thinking about having a holiday over there

Wouldn't recommend it. Vastly overrated, and expensive.

Been to Anaheim in California, does that count?
Oh and it was a shit hole. So was Hollywood, scruffier than a 74 year olds minge.

It's probably changed a lot since I was there, was quite a few years. But from what I remember it was pretty much shite, lot of poverty. The highlight was eating chicken legs all holiday and watching a fat kid fall backwards off a sun lounger at the Hilton oh and meeting Arnie and Stallone

Now thinking of flying to L.A. & then doing a bit of driving about. Maybe Arizona, Vegas, Palm Springs, San Diego

Me and a mate went to L.A in 2005 with the intentions of travelling up the coast to San fransisco. We got there, stayed in a dive in El Segundo the first night, got the bus to Santa Monica the next day and booked ourselves into a Holiday Inn right at the entrance to Santa Monica Pier for 3 weeks!
We loved it, id definately go back. plenty of designer shops to go mental in on 3rd street promenade. We hired a car and just drove around Hollywood seeing some sights, drove to Malibu, different beaches etc. If i went back I'd get tickets to a Basketball and ice hockey game tho.

i found it to be a bit boring and overhyped, although i had just driven down from vegas.
universal studios and village was good though, as was santa monica beach.
its basically london but hotter and with a nice beach
meant to go to malibu but never got round to it, thats apparently really nice
