I'm looking fora new year as a runaround while I take my corsa off the road

It must have 5 doors !

Iv been looking at escort gti's and pug 306 dturbos

What would people reccomend. It's purely for a runaround as we are expecting our 1st kid and a 5 door is more suitable

I have 500 spare ATM but I can stretch it abut for a nice example.

i have an escort and love it, drives well and really easy to fix, also the parts are dirt cheap and readily availiable.

should get a fairly decent one for £300

+1

Bought a Mk4 Astra estate a few weeks back. Good con, aircon, pas, electric windows e.t.c. All it needed was a few brake lines £20 later and 1 years MOT. Cost me less than £500

Picked mine up for £600, years MOT on it. Superb on fuel, fairly nippy, practical, all round awesome.

Boaty as fuck though, and get laughed at by kids for owning a skoda
