Anyone else from here going?

I'm heading off on Wednesday, but it's the first time I've been. Not sure what to take or expect, do I need to take beers or shall I buy some when I get there?

Take some beer, then buy some over there. I'd reccomend getting them en-route as getting in/out of the circuit is a cunt. Last year some guys in our group went out to a local hypermarket and returned 4 hours later!!!

Just make sure you pack clothes for all weathers. It rained alot last year and gets cold at night. Take earplugs if you want to sleep during race. If you've no decent facilities where you are camping take loads of baby wipes to "wash" with. Take your passport etc with you when you leave camp as there are some arseholes about.

You will have an amazing time. Until you've been you don't quite "get" it. It has a unique atmosphere. The racing at night is special. Try and get opposite pits during the night as it's amazing. Watching all the activity going on and the cars screaming down s/f straight all lit up etc.

I'm not going this yearbut will be back there next year.

My Uncle died there a couple of years ago Head on crash in his Ferrari Dino.

I never got the chance to go with him but from my Cousin has said it's awesome.

I wouldn't see the point in buying beers before you go though, apparently they have supermarkets in France.

Stolen passports, no wash facilities.

it's like any camp site. Most facilities are busy/a bit grim after a day or two. They are there. Also, I'd not leave my valuables in my tent anywhere in the world. Tbh we locked them in the car last year. Not saying there's loads of thieves but there's alot of very drunk people arsing about.

Yeah. Take some with you. But buy rest over there. I'd still suggest getting them before you enter circuit so you don't have hassle of having to get in/out of circuit again.

You camp next to your car anyway, just lock your valuables in the car.

Tbh I had it easy last year as I went with VXR Power Events and we had our own nice toilet/shower facilities, campsite security, freezers, fridges, the VX Race truck and hospitality area, free tea and coffee, Sky TV showing World Cup, etc etc
