I sold 2 x l pieces and 4 x jacking covers posted for £65 to daneh don here.. he sent the cash in an envolope registered post to me.. I went down post office armed with tracking number to collect my money and post his parts and the envolope has been sliced open. Now I complained to the manager and all i got is your mate has to put in a claim as he sent it..

Fucking joke now I'm stuck with parts I don't need and daneh out of pocket..fucking joke.

Never understand idiots who send money in the post.

Easier and safer to do a bank transfer.

Harsh, but why send cash in the post?
I'd never send it, recorded or not.

i have had cash sent to me in the past but wrapped up in car parts etc, not ideal and i was surprised to see the cash there but guess it was less likely to be realised as being cash inside.
as said, bank transfer is best

I saw a postman in a shop this morning, he was buying a sandwich with money. I don't have a 350z but I am only 10 mins from a sorting office, let me know if there is anything I can do.

This.

Sent cash a few times aswell.Just in a plain envelope.

Cashier at the P.O has asked what its worth and i tell them straight that its cash and how much.

They have never advised me not to do it,but always say that it will need to be special delivery for safety reasons.

You should be able to post cash or whatever you like without some thieving cunt in the sorting office stealing it.

No chance I would do that, wouldn't even be comfortable disguising it. It's just too useful for anyone. At least obscure car parts have a limited audience.

Special delivery is different from normal post but I still wouldn't send more than a few quid anyway.

Special delivery you pay extortion money to mostly guarantee it won't be stolen.

John, yup it's called extortion. Bizarre that they are legally selling such a product. It costs £1 to post this item sir, but if you don't want us to rob it or lose it we will charge you £7.

Disgrace the Post office is. Interparcel ftmfw

A lot of our post gets mysteriously opened before it gets through our letterbox, RM won't do anything about the thieving pikeys at the sorting office so I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone send me cash in the post.

I don't even think RM would cover you for a cash claim?

Anyways, bank transfer or PayPal would have been the sensible options. But then common sense seems to be sadly lacking in today's society.
