Wow that house is stunning!
Market hasn't seemed to move much price wise but houses are selling if got right house / location.
Sisters was on a week before being sold!
One we bought in Dec had been on market 6+ months.
That would look stunning with a 1M on drive!!!

That's a lovely house
Depends on your current house, is it the type that will attract 1st time buyers or a level up? If you price it keenly there's no reason it might not sell quickly.

I want to know if it was built by Sony. We all know Samsung ones aren't as good.

Lovely gaff.
I will own a house with exposed timber beams at one stage.

Its a good point but I think its the deposits people require now for 1st time buyers thats a sticking point
We will wait and see. I haven't looked at mortgage rates for a while but they are surprisingly low really

that is a beautiful house and looks perfect in my eyes.
the market is actually quite strong right now. people are looking for a bargain and have the cash but it depends what price your own house is up for and whether it caters for commuters/1st time buyers etc.
ours was up for about 6 weeks and we had 6 or 7 viewings and an offer accepted which they later pulled out of so it's definitely worth sticking it up for sale and seeing if theres any interest.
it costs nothing if you don't sell it anyway, and you gain experience in viewings.

Theres a few similar to that ive been thinking about looking at, round the corner from where I used to live, the only trouble is I dont fancy spending £1400 a month on a mortgage. Do you need a bigger house? Kids planned? I'd love a double garage right enough!! Just if I bought a house with one I wouldnt be able to afford to fill it with anything exotic

Mortage is not much of an issue as deposit will make it managable
We will see what happens. Wasnt relly lookign to move but if the right house comes up its always an option

If timings not ideal maybe leave it a bit, get married etc. I cant see this housing flop recovering any time soon!!
Also consider if you had to go down to 1 wage if life threw you a curve ball.....would it be managable then?
I loved the idea of buying the house of my dreams but looking at it sensibly I didnt need a 5 bedroom gaff twice the value of the 3bed one thats probably too big for me!!
Another idea I had was to buy a 2nd property, rent one of them out. So when things take off I get a double whammy sell both & then buy the dream home.

If people are desperate to sell they will take the cash. The rented property im in atm 3 bed semi was up for 125k sold for around 110k.

There is never a right time really
If I just had my wage then i could easily still manage - if it was reversed then its a different story
However I cant look at it like that otherwise I would never move
I always say have enough in the bank to cover a years worth of mortgage and basics repayments

This just means the asking price was too high.

Lovely. Unlikely to be 'proper' exposed beams though, much too modern a house.
Will more likely be a rendered top half with planks nailed on to give the right effect.
Not that that should put you off at all, I'd buy it

Looks a great house
Only thing that puts me off these houses is keeping on top of all the timber work on the outside, Its only decorative but can look very tired quite quickly!

Bloody hell, that's a lotta house for that money
We're considering a move too...a place down the road from us sold recently for a really good price so we're thinking that it's a good time to move
