Are these speakers any good, cos i can get them for 40quid rather than the normal 70quid. Or would i better gettin some infinity's for 70? I want some good bass of them

JBL will give you sound, coz thats what they do, they use them for PA systems and all sorts, but they will just give sound.
they're subs are good but I dont recomond their full range speakers too much, the treble is a bit too harsh for me.
Infinity will give a nicer smoother sound.

i duno. just asking wot u'd get for that sort of figure. I got some 40quid 13cm in the front, which obviously are alrite for some sound but not for bass. So i want to add a bit of thumping bass from the back shelf. Can't afford amp and sub etc. So just looking at some 6x9's and a stealth shelf. Ideally i'd like the 6x9's to be less than 70quid. What would you recommend. Something on special offer somewhere would be even bettter.

what amp are u runnig these speakers on coz the higher the rms dunt matter unless u get a big amp 2 run them. u put powerful speakers straight to a ahead unit an they will sound shit!

yer but dannycorsa says theres no point puttin powerful speakers with no amp. Simple question now, some1 answer please.==== Seeing as i'm running the speakers straight off my Sony head unit, will all 6x9's sound roughly the same as i'm only supplying them wiv limited power, OR is it still the fact that better quality, higher RMS speakers will be better.?

hmmmm so how else do u power 330w 6x9's cus i dont know many systems with that output, u have to use and amp... and as long as u got a decent pair and dont over power them, they'll be fine

in most sytem set ups 6x9's are used only for rear fill, and its suggested u dont amp them otherwise it'll be over powering.
it even suggests runnin em in series, but thats off an amp.

My mate has Infinity 6X9's and I have JBL and my speakers are much louder, have stronger bass and are much clearer than his. I use a 4X40 watt Clarion and he has a £500 4X50 watt Pioneer. He even wants to buy my JBL's off me. I think my JBL's are GTI ones? not sure and the only other thing I know about them is the amp range, thats 5-175watt.

My advice would be to buy a set of JVC dual mags and a 10/12" sub, leave out the 6X9's.

well buy a cheep amp to run the 6x9s then. i did have an alpine v12 but robbon cunts stole it.
ive been runnin my jbls off the headunit&they sound fine. do distort a little if turn up to much. they were a lot louder off the amp tho.

rite think i'll get the jbl's. And buy a stealth shelf for 60quid, i worked out it would cost bout 35quid to make my own and would be quite hard to do.

when i was looking for 6x9's i listend to the jbl's against the infinity's and the infinity's were better so i got em. If your going for Infinity get the Kappa Series 693.5i the bass off them is excellent

yer those infinity's are very good. But the jbl are 40quid and the infinity's are 80quid. Unless someone knows where they are cheaper?
