Interesting concept. I'd love Celtic Park to have it personally.

Hmmm.
Not keen. if the person in front decides to stand pretty much everyone has to, so the seats are a bit pointless.

The seats are for international and european matches which by law have to be all seater, so that converts the stadium to all seater.. People buying tickets in the "safe standing" areas would be buying them to stand, not sit...

Sitting down is shit tbh. People can stand without dying. I've done it and lived to tell the tale

can you imagine a kid trying to sit in that seat and all he could see if either the bloke in fronts back or a thick steel pole.
good concept.

Why would a kid be in the standing area? NeilM has got the idea.
Our new ground HAS to be all seated due to the FSF loan rules which is ridiculous for conference football. I don't understand why you can't have an option, you choose to stand you know the "risks"

The guy thats demonstrating the seats needs to get with the times. Uses the example of a team playing against Liverpool in the Champions League

i'm clearly talking about in an international game, where the seats would be in place.

The whole stadium wouldn't be made of this standing/seating hybrid. Just a section or end. Then a section of regular seating. This idea of standing with seats is only to appease the rules of all seater stadium.

Which is laughable as the disaster had nothing to do with the fact it was terraced.

i understand that jonny j, but would they be family seats for when theres no standing?
can't see the government changing the law tbh, good idea though.
everytime i've been to a football game, people seem to stand up everytime their team goes past the halfway line anyway.

What I mean is there would be a family section full of the regular seats we see today, where standing would be banned permanently, that would be where the kids would go and a standing/seating hybrid meant for the more hardcore fans.

Modern football is shite and going all American/family style. Luckily my ST at Leicester is in a standing area, and every away game I have been able
To stand, although some you get some moaning old granny moaning while drinking her flask and clapping like
She's watching tennis.
Bring back terraces. You can't get involved in a football match sitting down with a shit atmosphere. I'd wouldn't watch the game sitting down, end of
