Having one of my light rings re-wrapped and the fella doing it has asked if I want my petrol cap doing in chili red to match my roof. This is it on another car

Doesn't look as good against black, wondering if it'll be better against my grey

Other 2 options are leave it all as it is or get all the chrome done black but doing the belt line will be a real pain in the arse and I don't think I'd be able to do it myself so thats putting me off doing that.

More I look at it, the more I think the red cap looks a bit naff.

I can get this fella to do the cap in gloss black and can buy black side vents off the shelf but the belt line doesn't come off the car so I'd have to find someone to drive the car to so they could wrap it. And door handles would mean me taking the inside apart to get to them, not sure how much work is involved in that.

I would do it black or a dark colour.

Red looks silly, like a warning for kids

Keep it chrome, fits in with the head/tail light surrounds and door handle.

Head and tail light surrounds are already black, that photo is before I had them done.

I think it looks ok in red actually?

I quite like the chrome on mine, although plenty of people tell me to do it all black

Not sure it would look quite right on yours in black seeing as you have the roof and mirrors in red?

Whats the "belt line"? Is it the chrome all the way round under the windows? If so it all comes off.

Think I need someone like Blukoo to cast his photoshop wizardry over this.
Red petrol cap, black belt line, handles and side vents.
Black petrol cap, black belt line, handles and side vents.

Yeah belt line is the bit underneath the windows. Everyone seems to wrap it rather than take it off, I'm not sure how it's fitted to the car? Maybe glued on?

They are clipped on, they are a bit of a twat to take off to be honest, and put back on.

It looks silly in red. Looks as if you've had the chrome one nicked and had to replace it with a fake aftermarket thing.

Red looks naff. A little too much colour co-ordination if you know what I mean.

Get it done the same colour as the body of the car.
