Hi All

I've not long bought a mk4 astra sxi. I have been doing quotes before i bought it and now that I have purchased it. they're now coming back cheaper which is good but I'm wondering why on comparethemarket.com its dearer to go with the co-op than on moneysupermarket.co.uk to go with the co-op

heres a print screen for you to see. I'm 25, been driving 6 years but only got 2 years ncb due to being a named driver on my dads policy

Also, are adrian flux still doing discount with cs members? if so what do i quote?

Might be that they different on voluntary bonus, breakdown cover etc., or simply that one site is taking a bigger cut than the other.

Flux discount is still on, quote the membership number on the Premium Services page.

go direct, it will be cheaper. these ''referral companies'' charge for the privilege of getting all quotes in one place.

I tried some quotes on there, totally overpriced as usual, but the strange thing was it was £100 cheaper for me to be Fully comp rather than TPFT. The quote price went higher and higher when I was willing to pay more excess too, seems stupid.

I use the comparason websites to find the cheaptest say 5 companies (usually with bogus details) then go and do quotes with them driectly.

Also, £800 for an ASTRA at 25? bloody hell!

Admiral are usually the cheapest on standard cars for me.

I've never had a competitive quote from Adrian Flux in the past on any of the cars I've owned - yet some people I know do really well price wise with them!

It's cheaper to insure cars as on the road than in a garage with Admiral!

I'd heard they were good so did a quote. It was a totally unbelievable £1600+ That's age 27, driving 10yrs, 7yrs no claims, garaged and limited low mileage

^ Bloody hell

The Mini is with Greenlight now anyway since I started tinkering with it, plus hardly any of the 'main' insurance companies would honour that my car is a JCW
